Supermicro SATA DOM
SATA DOM is a small memory module that can be easily and comfortably inserted into a server's SATA connector (yellow on gen. X10 and newer motherboards). Supermicro has developed SATA DOM as a small replacement for hard drives with sufficient capacity, extreme reliability, significantly higher performance, lower latency and power consumption.
Reliable Helper
Thanks to the optimized design, Supermicro SATA DOM doesn't require any additional power, which increases performance and reliability. It's also backwards-compatible with older server motherboards that require a 5V power cable. It's designed to be used as a disk initializer, disk for operating system installation, device for backup restoration, license disk, OS installation device (replacing CD / DVD-ROM), built-in system backup element (it's suitable for very difficult environments, where the failure of a hard drive's mechanical unit is likely).
